The bees world
We take you in an area near the hotel to meet Michalis, professional beekeeper for more than 20 years. He owns about 300 hives and colonies of bees that he moves according to the seasons following the natural flowering of the Cretan territory so they can find all the pollen necessary for their feeding and the manufacture of the honey nearby. He is inexhaustible in knowledge and passionate; the world of bees, unfortunately so threatened, finally opens to us!
Day: Every Saturday. Length of the program: From 10am to 1pm. Participation fee: 30€ per person, 15€ for children under 12.
Price Includes: Guide – translator French or English, lend of outfit and protective gloves, visit and honey tasting.
Reservation: In advance when booking your flat or on site. Participation for non-residents is open, contact us by phone or on site at the hotel.
Important note: This program is not suitable for people with allergies to bee stings.
